Tacoma's Household Hazardous Waste Facility does not accept latex paint. For proper latex paint disposal: For an inch or less, remove the lid and let it dry. For larger amounts, mix with an equal amount of cat litter, cement or commercial paint hardener. Stir and allow to harden. Place empty and hardened latex paint cans in the garbage with the lids off. Latex paint must be solidified before placing it in the garbage.
