PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Adult Summer Camp. This August 18th and 19th prepare yourself for the wildest two days of your life. Hiking, Climbing, Singing, Dancing, Archery, Races, Games, Prizes, Confetti Cannons, Hooping, Poi, Karate, Roasting things on sticks, Giant Bubbles, Science Demonstrations, Snarky High School Counselors, Rocket Building, Cabins, Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag, Bluegrass Workshops, A Giant Slip N Slide… and thats just DAY ONE!
Here is how it works. Arrive at beautiful Camp Long in West Seattle and listen to the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack on the way. Get sorted into your Camp Troop. Settle into your cabin, or if you are not there overnight, check in at the lodge… then get ready for ...the best summer of your life.
We will have over 50 activities, classes, competitions, games and events for you to enjoy. There will be an overall competition for each of the 4 Troops, with big prizes. When night falls, daytime ticket holders will head out at their leisure and cabin pass holders will stay. We will sing around the fire, have glow in the dark capture the flag, and a super secret make out party at an undisclosed location.
Day two will start at the sound of the bugle, assuming we can find someone who can play the bugle, with more fun and a pancake breakfast. At the end of the day we will end with a community dance, and yearbook exchange. Everyone can say teary goodbyes to their Summer Camp friends until next year.
We will provide the supplies for all the games and activities, snarky high school aged «counselors», the venues, bands and the pancake breakfast. All other food, drinks and other items you will bring!
This is a city park so its the same rules as everywhere. Bring what you want and be mindful, at least until dark :) We encourage all the fun you can muster… we are all adults, acting like kids for a few days, but make sure to enjoy your adult fun, whatever it may be in a discreet place.
How to reserve your spot at Adult Summer Camp:
There are two kinds of tickets, limited overnight cabin space and day passes.
Cabin Tickets are $200 per person. You will get a bunk in one of the parks awesome cabins. There will be quiet hours in the cabins after 3 AM. Bear in mind, this is Summer Camp and the cabins are part of the fun. They are not private space and its possible you might be up all night telling ghost stories or ridiculous jokes. You can get a cabin for a group by purchasing a block of 6 — 10 tickets.
Day Passes are $45 per day or $80 for both days. Some people like to sleep, and you are welcome to head out and come back at any time.
No persons under 21 and no pets in the cabins.
We fully expect the event to sell out. If you purchase tickets and are unable to attend, you can sell your tickets to someone on the wait list. No refunds are offered as we put all the money into supplies for the fun. You will be required to fill out a brief medical form with emergency contact info just in case. There will be a camp nurse on staff.
Finally, this is a community event, staffed by volunteers. We are all here for the wild spirit of fun and adventure. We believe implicitly in the spirit of open kindness. All are welcome. Sexism, racism, sexual or gender prejudice of any kind will not be tolerated and you will be tossed out of camp immediately. Aint nobody got time for that.
